SMU is a long-term member of the consultative committee at CIPM for photometry and radiometry CCPR and member of EURAMET. Through communication with academia, industry and medical sectors, SMU has identified problems with SSL which should be solved and underpinned by fundamental metrological measurements. Scientific excellence in this project by SMU can be provided in metrological characterisation of devices intended for field measurements of street lighting and of LED indoor luminaires.
