Human Perception of SSL

The aim of this work package is to better determine the visual quality of SSL by reviewing, implementing and assessing by panels newly proposed metrics. This work package addresses three aspects of human perception of lighting:

Colour rendition

The aim of this task is to evaluate existing and new developed colour rendition indices for suitable use as quality metric for SSL products in various applications.

Visual comfort

The aim of this task is to evaluate visual comfort characterisation for suitable use as quality metric for SSL products.

Mesopic vision for outdoor lighting

The aim of this task is to realise procedures for the implementation of mesopic vision based quality metrics in outdoor lighting applications.
