Measurement methods for SSL characterisation
This activity aims to make a step change in existing measurement methods for the characterisation of SSL products, and improve the measurement uncertainties to be comparable to that for incandescent lighting measurements or better. Facilitation of reliable characterisation of SSL sources requires:
Electrical properties of SSL sources
The aim of this task is to determine the best measurement capability in electrical power determination of SSL products in various applications.
Efficacy of SSL products
The aim of this task is to determine the best measurement capability in luminous flux and efficacy determination of SSL products in various applications.
Goniometrical aspects of SSL sources
The aim of this task is to determine the influence of geometrical aspects of SSL sources to their characterisation in terms of luminous flux and spatial luminous distributions.
Lifetime of SSL
The aim of this task is to provide metrological support to lifetime expectancy characterisation/determination of SSL products.
