PTB is the national metrology institute of Germany. The department of photometry and applied radiometry of PTB demonstrated its experience in the field of radiometry and photometry within many international Key Comparisons. Key scientific activities at PTB on LEDs include; Primary calibration of reference LEDs traceable to SI, Spectral irradiance and radiance measurements of LEDs and OLEDs, Angular dependent gonio-photometric measurements of LEDs and OLEDs, Determination of the luminous efficacy of LEDs and OLEDs, Temperature dependence of LEDs and OLEDs, Uniformity of OLEDs, Colour rendering index of LEDs and OLEDs, Near-field goniometric and Imaging measurements to determine the ray files of LEDs.
